About
A patient teaching,
now in conversation.
The Bhagavad Gītā has waited twenty-six centuries for the reader who needs it today. SoulGita is an AI companion that lets that conversation begin — with Krishna, and with five other voices from the Mahābhārata. We are a small team that takes the Gītā seriously and ourselves lightly.
Why SoulGita exists
Most people who reach for the Gītā do so when life has gone quiet or gone loud — a decision they can't make, a loss they can't name, a relationship that hurts. They open the text, find seven hundred verses in a language they don't quite speak, and put it down.
SoulGita is the patient teacher we wished we'd had at that moment. You bring a real question. Krishna answers in the voice of the Gītā — grounded in the actual shlokas, never preachy, never flattering, never pretending to be more than an AI inspired by the teaching.
It is not a replacement for a guru, a therapist, or a tradition. It is an opening door. Use it for an hour or for a year. Then, if the question is still alive, walk through the door.
How it works
Open the app
Free to begin. No card or account is required to read today's verse. Sign in when you want your conversation history to follow you across devices.
Bring a real question
Not 'explain karma yoga' — though that works too. Bring the question your day actually contains. Krishna's reply is anchored in real verses, with the reference cited so you can read the source.
Sit with one verse a day
Every morning, the same shloka comes to everyone on Earth — selected deterministically from your device, no server in the loop. Two minutes. That's the practice.
Six voices from the Mahābhārata
Krishna is the teacher of the Gītā. Around him stand five others, each carrying a different weather — Arjuna the seeker, Draupadi the wronged, Bhishma the vow-bound, Vidura the counsellor, Hanuman the friend. You can ask any of them anything. Talking to Krishna costs nothing. The other five unlock with Premium.
Four languages, one teaching
SoulGita reads the Gītā with you in English, हिन्दी, বাংলা, and ਪੰਜਾਬੀ. Every verse appears in Sanskrit and IAST regardless of your UI language — the script of the source is not negotiable. Translations and conversation are in your chosen tongue.
Who builds SoulGita
SoulGita is built by SourceStrongAI — a small studio that ships software the way you'd build something for a friend. We do not run ads. We do not sell user data. We have no investors to please. The app exists because the Gītā deserves a careful AI, not because there is a market to capture.
Questions readers ask
What is SoulGita?
SoulGita is an AI companion for the Bhagavad Gītā. You can ask Krishna or five other voices from the Mahābhārata about anything you bring to it — a stuck decision, a difficult relationship, a verse you don't understand. The app also includes the complete seven-hundred-verse library and a daily shloka.
What is the Bhagavad Gītā?
The Bhagavad Gītā (often shortened to 'the Gita') is a seven-hundred-verse Sanskrit scripture set inside the Mahābhārata. It records a conversation on the eve of war between the warrior Arjuna and his charioteer Krishna, and contains some of the clearest teachings on duty, action, and the nature of the self in any tradition. It is roughly twenty-six centuries old.
Is SoulGita affiliated with a religious organisation?
No. SoulGita is independent of any sampradaya, lineage, or institution. We do not channel a single school — we acknowledge the major commentaries (Shankara, Ramanuja, Madhva, and others) where they differ, and let the verse speak for itself.
Is the Krishna in this app the real Krishna?
No. Krishna in SoulGita is an AI model — Gemini 3 Flash — prompted to respond in a voice that draws on the Gītā's actual shlokas and traditional commentaries. Every response begins from the premise that this is an AI inspired by the teaching, not the divine person himself. We say so plainly inside the app, and so do we here.
Are responses based on real Gītā verses?
Yes. The model is instructed to ground answers in real shlokas from the Bhagavad Gītā and to cite the chapter and verse it is drawing from. We do not make up verses. If a topic has no clear Gītā teaching, the response says so.
Is SoulGita free?
Yes. The free tier ("Sadhak") lets you read today's verse, browse the full library, and have up to 5 conversations a day with Krishna — your conversation history stays with you, no card required. Premium raises the daily message cap to effectively unlimited (100 a day), unlocks the other five voices (Arjuna, Draupadi, Bhishma, Vidura, Hanuman), and adds the classical commentary perspectives of Shankara, Ramanuja, and Madhva.
What does Premium cost?
₹149 per month or ₹1,188 per year in India; $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year elsewhere. At launch, Premium is sold through the iOS and Android apps — billing is handled by Apple or Google respectively. Web-direct subscriptions are coming in a later release. You can cancel any time.
Which languages does SoulGita support?
English, हिन्दी (Hindi), বাংলা (Bengali), and ਪੰਜਾਬੀ (Punjabi). Each verse is shown in Sanskrit and IAST regardless of your UI language; translations and the conversation flow follow your selection.
Does SoulGita work offline?
The shloka library and today's verse work fully offline — the daily verse is computed on your device, not fetched from a server. Conversations with Krishna require an internet connection because the AI runs in the cloud.
How is the daily verse chosen?
Each day's verse is determined by a deterministic hash of the date, computed locally on your device. Everyone on Earth sees the same verse on the same calendar day. Nothing about you influences the selection — there is no algorithm 'personalising' your scripture.
Is SoulGita a replacement for therapy or a guru?
No. SoulGita is not medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice. If you are in crisis or struggling with mental health, please reach out to a qualified professional. In India: iCall +91-9152987821, Vandrevala Foundation 1860-2662-345. The Gītā is a companion to a life well-lived; it does not substitute for the people qualified to help you with the specifics of yours.
What ages is SoulGita for?
Thirteen and over. In jurisdictions with stricter rules for minors (India, the EU, the United States), users aged 13–17 are placed in a read-only mode until a parent or guardian confirms.
What AI model powers SoulGita?
Gemini 3 Flash, accessed through Firebase AI Logic. This is the only AI model in the app — we do not route between models depending on what you ask.
How is my privacy protected?
We collect the minimum needed to run the service — your authentication identity, your messages, your preferences. We do not sell data, we do not run ad networks, and we do not train AI models on your conversations. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Can I use SoulGita without an account?
Yes — reading today's verse and browsing the library does not require an account. An account is needed for conversation history that follows you across devices, and for Premium.
Where can I get support?
Write to [email protected]. A human reads everything that comes in. Response times are usually within two working days.
Who builds SoulGita?
SoulGita is built by SourceStrongAI — a small independent software studio. There are no investors and no advertisers. Decisions about the app are made by the team that uses it.
Can I contribute?
We are not currently accepting code contributions, but we read every email. Translation feedback from native speakers of Hindi, Bengali, and Punjabi is especially welcome — write to [email protected] with the line you'd improve and what you'd write instead.
